Snowflake Challenge #1 - Introduction
Thursday, 9 January 2020 09:02 am
Hello to whomever reads this!
You can call me Darvyn. I'm in my mid-twenties and I've been a fandom lurker for more than half of my life.
I'm multi-fandom, and I will never shame your ships, so please don't shame mine. I'm of the belief that you can dislike a ship, and still be friends with a person. I don't partake in fandom discourse, I just like to have fun and babble about things that elicit emotional responses from me. (oof, sorry for that, but i just saw something on twitter this morning that makes me feel as though this needs to be said lol)
I'm very all over the place with whatever grasps my interest, but my current hyperfixation is Teen Wolf. Which I am completely aware of how fricken late I am to the party, but alas, I am here. This started in July 2019, so it has dug its claws into me and has yet to let me go. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm also on a kick of costume/historical/period dramas which started in November 2019.
SO. MUCH. PINING.
Additionally, I quite literally just joined Dreamwidth the other day, so please bear with me as I figure out how things work.
Uh... I usually pride myself as an artist, but I've been dabbling in fic writing properly for the past couple years. I am under the same username on my Ao3. (can you tell that I don't know what else to say?)
Once I submit this, I'm certain I'll think of a million other things to say, but that's the gist of it.
Thank you for your time, I hope you have a wonderful day/evening!
Best.

Date: 31 Mar 2021 11:42 pm (UTC)Oh my goodness, I actually went through a bunch of fics in my Ao3 history once when I was hyperfixated on a specific fandom and totaled up everything that I read and was quite horrified/impressed to see that it was over a million words. My morbid curiosity would almost want to see that summary if it existed. Though I wouldn't be too eager to share it on my social media.
Is your library still operating? The transition was rather messy for us, and we're still getting patrons calling us hoping to physically come into the building to study.
Hope you're having a good spring so far! Best.
