Plot Bunny Masterlist
I intend for this to be a compilation of multi-fandom plot bunnies, but depending on how unmanageable this list gets, it's open to future adjustment.
PLOT BUNNIES THAT I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET DOWN
Cut for length
Fandom: Voltron
Pair: Pidge/Lance (it's a rarepair I like, sue me)
Bunny: She's the Man AU
Okay I'm back to flesh it out a little more. So much like in She's the Man Pidge has a brother, so I'm thinking that Matt runs off and doesn't want to lose his scholarship or something, and so he enlists Pidge's help. Shenanigans ensue.
Fandom: TAZ: Amnesty
Pair: Agent Stern/Barclay
Bunny: I just want to write a drabble about them getting to know each other (off-screen doesn't work here, off audio??) outside of the main characters' view. Having finally finished Amnesty and listening to TTAZZ I am suddenly flush with feelings about how we were robbed of further elaboration.
To quote Griffin McElroy, "An FBI agent pursuing Bigfoot and ending up falling in love with him? That's my shit."
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pair: Fred/Hermione
Bunny: I feel like I have a story flitting on the edges of my brain, but I can't seem to conceptualize it. I know that I want to explore the very beginning when Hermione was helping Neville look for Trevor, and all the cabins she checked out. Maybe be begrudgingly impressed by the twins or anything. I just feel so starved and robbed lol. I could always default to a good ol' non-magic AU. TBD, I just wanted to get my thoughts down.
Pair: Fred/Hermione
Bunny: So I talked about this on my plurk a little (which I honestly use like a twitter at this point lmao), but lemme elaborate here. Hanahaki AU, in which Fred falls head over heels for Hermione and develops Hanahaki. There's a lot of evidence of pining in book 5, and I think it would be really interesting to explore it with Hanahaki. I really like Fredmione, but I don't know if I want this to be a hurt/comfort or just hurt/angst. To be determined, but I just wanted to get it down. (also there needs to be more Hanahaki AUs in general imho)
Fandom: Anne With an E
Pair: Anne/Gilbert
Bunny: Okay so I just finished season 3 and I'm in the depths of despair knowing that there's not going to be another season. Anyways, I've got a modern AU idea... I don't know if I'll actually do anything with this but I wanted to get it down before I forget. So they're in University and I just want to have Anne anonymously writing some kind of saucy romance between "Cordelia" and "Bernard" (I dunno I'll think of a better fake Gilbert name) and it becomes a bit of a cultish following on campus. Gilbert ends up reading a snippet because of his roommate or something and ends up feeling scandalized by the similarities. I dunno just something to think about.
Fandom: The Witcher
Pair: Geralt/Jaskier
Bunny: I was driving home from work when this bunny jumped out in front of my car and I desperately had to get it down. I made an audio recording, and here is the transcription (edited to be less rambling). Either Regency or Tudor AU, Geralt is a mercenary/contract killer and Jaskier is an entertainer for a noble person. And the noble person hosts a ball in which Jaskier is working and so is Geralt. Jaskier spies Geralt from across the hall. And during Jaskier's break from performing he usually flits about a flirts with anything on two legs, and so he makes a beeline for Geralt and insists upon a dance. Geralt begrudgingly agrees, not wanting to draw too much attention with Jaskier's loud protests. This entire bunny was spawned by my listening to some music a viscerally visualizing Jaskier and Geralt dancing around each other with the camera panning and spinning around them, not breaking eye contact, complete focus and interest.
Fandom: Pride and Prejudice (or any)
Pair: Elizabeth/Darcy (or any)
Bunny: This is a bunny that works with really any pairing, but specifically it came to life by thinking about Elizabeth and Darcy. For the sake of it being easily applicable to any pairing, I will write it with gender neutral terms and identifying the two halves of the pair as Character A and Character B.
Character A is a modern day person that is thrown back in time à la Outlander. But unlike Outlander, I'm imagining if Character A is female (or female presenting) they live as a male for the time being in order to have more access as they research a way to get back to their modern time. Or if Character A is male, they make sure to lay low as much as possible. During their time of laying low and asking around about sources of knowledge, they learn that a local noble/royal person (Character B) has a peculiar library with strange arcane knowledge. After discovering this Character A approaches the head of the servants and applies for a job. During their time there, they sneak into the library and begin researching a way back. Character B and Character A cross paths and instantly dislike and distrust one another. Character B only allows Character A to stay because they are a hard worker and can begrudgingly admit that Character A's presence is beneficial. Slow slow burn, but they learn to appreciate one another. And if Character A is female (or female presenting) then they can have tension develop in a way similar to Mulan and Li Shang.
